If you didn’t already know, Hubspoke Media is celebrating 9 years of creativity tomorrow, so we sat down with our newest member, Adam (also known as Little Adam, Hairy Adam, animation Adam and Good Looking Adam!) to talk about what his first six months here have been like.
Adam joined us as an experienced Content Creator, with rounded experience in filmmaking and animation. He moved to Darlington in 2022 and had previously worked with local businesses on their marketing strategies. Since joining us in October last year, Adam has overseen the onboarding of several new clients whilst also adding new, varied content to Hubspokes’ channels. We asked Adam a few questions to gain a better understanding of what he’s been up to over the past six months.

You’ve been with Hubspoke for six months now—what’s been the biggest surprise or highlight of your time so far?
“A big highlight for me was hearing the positive feedback from clients whom we have helped, whether that is social media work or optimising websites for SEO. I’ve started to work more on my web design work and especially SEO work, so it’s great to hear feedback from clients saying that they now have TOO much work on, thanks to what we do”
Managing social media for eight clients is no small feat—how have you found your rhythm, and what’s helped you stay on top of it all?
“It’s important to understand the clients you’re working with and get into their headspace. How would they write a post on social media? Is what we are creating recognisable as their business? I try to balance creating posts, editing videos and going out on media shoots as best as I can. That also includes creating content for Hubspoke on top of all of that – I definitely never get bored!”
With your background in animation and marketing, how have you been able to bring a creative edge to the content you produce here?
“I’ve always been a creative, either having a pencil or a guitar in my hand since I was a kid, so being able to do that daily at Hubspoke is great! Graduating with an animation degree, I believe I bring a level of attention to detail that most people won’t notice. We’re currently working on a Stop-Motion project that we can talk about soon that I’m excited to share, which will be one of the most ambitious projects I’ve worked on to date!”
You’ve occasionally jumped into podcast production—any memorable moments or learning curves from being behind the mic (or the mixer)?
“I’d never used a mixing system before, let alone produce a podcast, so the whole thing was a learning curve. I don’t get to produce podcasts often, but when I do, I enjoy hearing the varied conversations people have, regardless of the topic. Something I’ll learnt early on is that there is an “auto-white balance” setting, which caused a lot of headaches in post production, but I saw through my mistakes and we came up with an edit that our client was happy with.”
As Hubspoke celebrates nine years, where do you see the content team heading next, and what are you excited to be a part of?
“I really hope that in the next 9 years we will have a bigger team and we get to work on even bigger projects. I’m yet to work on a TV ad, so I’m excited to start working on that. We’re also looking to host more events and seminars, so we would love to get involved teaching people anything and everything to do with marketing and media!”
Even though Adam has been with us for just 6 months, we can’t wait to see what else he can bring to our diverse team in the next 9 years.
