Celebrating our 9-year anniversary is a significant milestone, as we reminisce on the range of clients and projects we’ve worked on. The one thing that remained constant, though, was the hard work each member of the team put into every bit of work they produced. Each new member who has come and gone has brought their unique twist to Hubspoke, whether it’s experience from a past job or an exciting music scene outside of work. Someone we want to shine a spotlight on is our Chief Editor, Alina Badin, who joined us a few years ago and is now producing and editing her own podcasts!
Alina joined the Team in 2022 as an Apprentice Content Creator, bringing her unique ideas and creativity to our clients’ posts. Fast forward 3 years, and she’s currently just finished editing a podcast for the College that brought her here. Alina is originally from Romania and, since coming to the UK, has learnt the language (speaking it better than most!), passed all her exams, and then secured the role of content creator here, offering her meaningful employment for years to come. We sat down with Alina and asked her to identify the best projects to work on for our anniversary.
“Some of my favourite projects during my time at Hubspoke Media have been fun and memorable. One that stands out is the Darlington College Adult Learning TV advert, which we created using stop-motion animation. We had to lay the backdrop on the floor and move props around the subject for each frame. It was a fun and creative challenge to link every action together, and my favourite part was seeing it all come together in Premiere Pro. It was a one-of-a-kind project.”
This project was a challenging yet rewarding one, as it was the first time we used animation. Alina painstakingly helped edit each frame of the video to perfection, then imported the footage into Premiere Pro for further editing. Check out the final video below!
“I also had the chance to photograph a wedding, which was a great experience. Spending the full day shooting helped me get more confident with photography. I enjoy capturing candid moments, where people smile, laugh, and interact naturally. Same with the Darlington 10K run, where I got to photograph all the participants.”
“Another project I enjoyed was working with Darlington Library, filming and taking photos. It’s a brilliant place with lots of interesting things to capture, and it made for some nice content.”
“Overall, one of my favourite things has been working on podcasts. I love hearing people’s stories, editing their conversations, and choosing the best parts to turn into short reels. I’ve met so many different people and even a dog! We also take the podcast on the road sometimes. One of the most memorable trips was visiting the Great North Air Ambulance, which was fascinating.”

We couldn’t be happier to be a part of Alina’s journey, and Hubspoke Media wouldn’t quite be the same without her creativity and hard work. Here’s to the next 9 years and thanks for making our 9-year anniversary so special.
